Chalybe Grand Opening

Thanks again to Signature Homes for having us at the Grand Opening of Chalybe!  Photos are available on Picasa here.  The kids were so well behaved, and they all looked so cute!  I tried to get photos of as many as I could, since the heat was really kicking in.  Apologies to anyone I missed.  We will be painting and ballooning in Ross Bridge again for Arts and Music on the Green in October – look for us there!

ROCK in Liberty Park!

Come out the Liberty Park Middle School and support the Vestavia Hills Public Library’s Summer program!  I’ll be painting and Dr. B. Looney will be handing out his balloon creations on Monday June 7th from 2-3pm, with many other fun activities for kids!

Alabaster City Fest coming up!

Wow, we’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to post!  Things have been non-stop since March, but hopefully I’ll be able to put some new photos up soon, especially of the great work done by our new artist, Ashley Harlan Kitchens.

Meanwhile, I’ll be painting at Alabaster Cityfest 2010, on Saturday, June 5th from 9:30 till noon, with the awesome folks from Birmingham Parent Magazine!  See you there!

Halloween Schedule!

Pirate of the Carribean

We’ll be painting faces and doing glitter tattoos Friday at Mae Dolls, Spots and Dots Toys in Crestline Village, 70 Church St., Mountainbrook, beginning around 2pm.   This is a pay-per-face event, and I’ll be offering all the lavish designs you see on our website that we don’t normally get to do at busy public events, as well as some special Halloween designs.  Stop by on your way to Boo at the Zoo or your Halloween party!

On Saturday, Dr. B. Looney will join us with his amazing balloon creations, and we’ll start around noonish.  Don’t miss the Crestline Village Halloween Parade at 3pm!   Come bring your kids (or yourself!) to be painted for trick or treating and other festivities, and check out the new Mae Dolls while you are there!

Hope the rain holds off – look for us inside Spots and Dots if things start getting wet, or call the store at 414-9330. 

At 8:30 pm Saturday, I’ll be painting the lovely ladies of the Cedars Phoenician Club in Homewood at their fundraiser for St. Jude Hospital.

Myself and Jennifer Gowers from Go Pro Event Solutions were on Fox6′s Good Day Alabama here promoting Aldridge Gardens’ Harvest Fest this Sunday.  There are so many fun things going on there this  week!  “Jazz Night With the Shaun Pezant Trio” is tonight at 7:30 p.m. Tomorow night is a Concert in the Gardens with Joe Giattina Orchestra from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. Also tomorow and Saturday is the Fall Hydrangea Sale. Sunday is the Harvest Celebration from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Dr. B. Looney and I will be there painting and ballooning from 1-3 before heading over to Riverside Methodist’s Trunk or Treat, so don’t miss us!

October is shaping up to be an exciting month!  Some upcoming events…

Come see Magic City Face Art at Veteran’s Park on October 3rd as we provide free face painting at the fundraiser for Partnerships in Action. http://www.partnershipsinaction.org/walk/cities/birmingham.php  Come support this great cause and enjoy free face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, as well as many other exciting activities!

Then on October 25 bring the kids to Aldridge Gardens Harvest Celebration!  I will be painting from 1:00-3:00 free to the public! 

Our Halloween plans are in the works.  We will be painting and ballooning at Spots and Dots Toys in Crestline Village, Mountain Brook on Friday afternoon and on Saturday before and after the Halloween parade.  Check back soon for details!
